I am hooked on TecmoBowl on my small Switch. I love it and I've never seen a football game on TV in my life. I highly recommend it.

Was thinking about getting it, but it seems kind of not worth it judging from critical reviews

Let's just say you want might want to pick the raiders, and try running the ball with Bo Jackson.

@SortOfTested OK, I'm on it. I haven't really paid too much serious attention to the game to be honest, but holy crap it's soo damn fun. I highly recommend it.

kind of... had played it intensively for more than half a year, found the best corp, made friends, was great, but eent on a hiatus few months ago, because (as i also explained to the corp members) i need to finally get my shit (and life) together so i need to focus on that, and as long as i have a time sink like eve, i will just be escaping into there and investing time and energy into it which i really should be investing into reality.

so i haven't logged in for about half a year, and i hope they understand and haven't kicked me from the corp yet. i plan to get back as soon as i manage to make my actual life not shit.

btw everyone here who says "tried to get into it and failed", or "judging by reviews it's not worth it"

it's all about finding the right corp. the gameplay mechanics by themselves are not made to hook you in or be enjoyable in solo play, they're made to provide structure for interacting with other players (which makes sense for an MMO, even though not many mmos actually do that).

so you need to find a corp with people that fit you, and then, "magically" the game and its mechanics become awesome as soon as they start to interact with your people interaction in the game.

playing solo or being in the wrong corp for you just makes no sense and is pointless in eve. finding the right corp is the most important thing in that game. i learned that by accident, third time when i tried to get into the game, i found the most awesomest corp for me, and it was like playing a different game, suddenly it all made sense and was awesome.

@Midnigh-shcode If you're looking for something you can play in short bursts without too much effort, I highly recommend TecmoBowl.

I used to love playing Eve Online back in the day when it was still a meat grinder of an mmo. There is not enough risk in it to make it exciting these days. I left not long after incarna.

@intromatt no, i'm not. i was looking precisely for what eve is, now i just need to sort out my life into good enough state so that i can give eve as much time as i want and it needs.
