    @stop I keep seeing people sharing stuff on their ig stories and it's depressing asf.
  • 4
    @Jilano wonder about Jase.

    I know he's gone (I think at least; dude had more accounts than I do money so ya never know) but still

    da fuck is goin on heer
  • 1
    @orhun Australia is burning. Just gotta make sure our upside down fuckers here on dR are all aight.
  • 0
    @Jilano lmfao that sounds accurate.
  • 2
    This upside down fucker is still alive, although I haven't been overly close to the action.
  • 2
    @C0D4 alright that's good ✊🏻

    Don't go towards the lights, even if they are pretty lmao
  • 2
    @Stuxnet I will be on the M31 for the next couple of days but it's mostly clear all the way back down to the bottom, minus the smoke.

    It's the East Gippsland and up the coast line in NSW that's having the most fun.

    The Bargo fire was impressive a couple of weeks ago, got a good view of that going past.

    For all those playing from a safer piece of land.

    Current view of Australia.
    White = small.
    Blue = problematic.
    Red = apocalypse.

    I read that it's largely, similarly to California, because of misguided government policies. Having banned controlled burning, not having listened to the Aborigines with millennia of experience, letting cruft pile up until megafire. Ruling urban environmentalists who have no clue about ecology, basically.

    Here an article from 2009 (!) complaining about exacly that, so it's not like nobody would have known:

    https://smh.com.au/environment/...

    And now the very same people who are responsible for these policies blame climate change.

    I'm about 1 and a half hours out from the heart of east gippsland, getting pelted by smoke most days but not in any danger as of yet.

    As long as @Jilano is safe I'm happy
  • 3
    I am just happy that our mates are safe man. Australians are tough mfkers, hard to kill
  • 2
    @Fast-Nop sound like the same type of people like pur bundeswehr who thought firing a missile in a bog in the (now second) hottest summer ever recorded. The army couldnt put it out because of defect stuff, thats normal by the way. 6.000.000 cubic metre bog were destroyed.

    @lxmcf word.

    If y'all know of anyone else from the upside down land, tag them. The three I tagged are the three i know off the top of my head
  • 3
    @AleCx04 we live in a country designed to kill us, and that's excluding the wild life 😂

    We have to suck it up and deal with it, or it's going to deal with us... as current events are showing.
  • 3
    @Stuxnet unless @NoMad is over here she should be fine.

    Wow, I actually can't think of more Aussies.
  • 3
    @dfox can we get a "list of people we subscribed too" somewhere?
  • 3
    I love how us Aussies always seem to be able to find eachother no matter what, going overseas we find eachother, behind a monitor we find each other... One day i expect to just die and go to hell filled with Aussies
  • 2
    @lxmcf so a second Australia? Bc fires aside, the amount of shit that wants to kill you over there is pretty hellish if you ask me.
  • 4
    @C0D4 nope, she is not. Tho she's feeling suicidal enough to just come back and go have a natural bbq in Alpine's or somewhere.
  • 2
    @NoMad do I even want to ask about your bad spell?

    Mind you I'll be indulging my lungs with the Smokey bbq down there tomorrow on my way past.
  • 2
    @C0D4 Mmmmm, dat human bbq smell! (kidding, stay away from the fire! )

    ... And don't bother; the list is long.
  • 2
    @NoMad hahah, nothing beats a toasty Aussie.

    Headed home from NSW, so kinda got to drive on by.
  • 3
    @C0D4 from what i heard (news), australia is more pve and the USA PVP with PVE with guns everywhere.
  • 1
    @C0D4 ooof. Can you not? The whole area surrounding Canberra is toasty. So, idk, drive from near the ocean so you can jump in any time.
    Still, I'd suggest you postpone the trip cuz it's risking your life.
  • 2
    @NoMad there's a couple of fires near by the highway but nothing threatening, Keeping tabs on things though, down the coast is where all the action is and definitely keeping away from that.

    The inland side of Canberra is pretty clear besides the thick smoke down south.
  • 2
    This red guy down past the Wollongong isn't that big so pretty straight path down.
  • 2
    @stop players vs environment?
  • 3
    Just left Sydney, entering the pits of hell.

    Ooh I could live "tweet" errr rant this 😂
  • 1
    @C0D4 OMG Sydney, with this horrible funnel spider that lives only there.
  • 2
  • 3
    *cough* who's bright idea was this.

    Had to add a filter to pickup the smoke in the photo
  • 2
    Currently in West Gippsland we are getting a fair amount of rain with a fair storm making its way through soon, hopefully some of it heads up NSW way
  • 4
    Ok, no filter this time.
    Hell has a natural yellow glow.
  • 2
    @C0D4 you home yet?
  • 4
    @NoMad nope, had to stop overnight. Smoke was thick and dense last night.

    Looks like it's cleared up this morning and is raining.... holy crap it's raining!!!

    Will be crossing the border today, looks clear the rest of the way down though.
  • 3
    On to the border, managed to catch back up to the smoke clouds.

    Visibility about 200 metres before cars start disappearing into rain and smoke.
  • 2
    Morning from sunny Victoria

    EDIT: wow this is potato quality
