    I feel the same about Apple's two factor authentication.

    - Lost my phone
    - Try to login to apple "find my iphone"
    - Need my phone for two factor authentication

    Why would you use SMS for 2FA? It's one of the most insecure (and annoying) choices ever. Why no totp authenticator?

    You can't setup a backup. I have U2F hardware but if i forget it I'm fucked.
