When you have to awk tell your boss that having that tenth icon in the header menu is not really UX friendly I feel like I punched a puppy cause his face fell and a small part of him died...

What's the thing that annoys you about UX designers? Or designers in general? Just this is my first job so I don't wanna annoy any developer...

As a developer I’d much rather have a UX designer be honest and have to spend a couple more days re-coding the header menu than to continue adding icons until it’s an ungodly mess and spend a week re-coding the header menu

A big problem in UX is to fight off the phenomenon that every manager or department wants to add some shit just to have visibly "contributed" to the product, thereby cluttering and ruining it.

The famous duck from Battle Chess showed an interesting alternative. The designer had added a stupid duck that was flying around the black queen because he knew it sucked. The product manager liked the artwork except for the duck and told the designer to remove it. Which was easy because that had been the plan all along so that the duck animation never actually overlapped the queen.

That duck thing sounds like alot of what's happening..except we never remove the bad ideas..We have alot of domains and each one has a different marketing team that adds whatever they want making it so cluttered.
You know the guilt eats me alive when everyone is doing the duck thing and I'm like how bout no and everyone is like
