Looking at Glassdoor reviews of my new job. I see a lot of 👍🏻workLifeBalance and 👎🏻 advancement opportunities

Wait. Did you check this after you accepted the position?

It's good to be aware that companies now actively recruit favorable reviews from internal employees to skew glass door results. Some even have their marketing or HR folks write glowing take reviews ( my company has at times done both). It's no different from reading a Yelp review.

work-life balance is more important than career advancements. Work-life balance is important to have a health life and don't become a slave, career advancement often means "you get promoted if you give your ass to the boss". Just keep learning in the while and ask a new position after 1 year, or change job after that time
