Depending on the product and part of the code it is not that weird.
We have a similar piece of code in our product. When a shopping cart expires the contents are for 10 seconds in a void the user can still claim by starting a payment.
You are unable to add your reservation in the shopping cart at that time but we do offer users a bit more time to validate their order. -
@Codex404 I'm amusded more by the comment and the fact that this entire codebase is littered with magic numbers.
