@dfox what if you add an advertisement category? Then advertisers might think that "oh, that'll probably make it show up nicely", though in fact it's not shown at all.

    Because nobody wants to see advertisements, and spammers shall just go and kill themselves.

    Let s say 5 downvote because of advertisement can be filterable. I dont think devrant users would create multiple accounts for internet revenge. Number is subject to change.

    Or just add a "spam" category and tell spammers to use that one?
