@M1sf3t for anything past an article, print is where it's at.

    I hate ebooks so much

24 hour news cycle stuff is true though, except instead of becoming stale they went for sensationalism. But what else would you expect once they were no longer being held accountable for what they say. Journalism is on its death bed with terminal cancer

I think both problems are partially solved.

First one with ebook readers that don’t glow but use e-ink like kindle.

Second by big link aggregators like reddit, hackernews or facebook.

At least for people that know a little bit of english.

The real problem right now is to filter interesting content from big pile of shit.

Likes, retweet’s, wall with statistics algorithms and even google is failing under amount of duplicated spam.

@M1sf3t you can thank Ronald Reagan for that. Killing the fairness doctrine is what allowed things to get out control.

Doesn't come up with any studies that prove reading from screen is unhealthy. I think it's bs as long as you're not too close, your eyes can focus and the colour temp is low enough, there won't be any problem.

@N0-Flux-Given it's all personal preference these days.

I still prefer paper over a screen for longer periods, but I could probably get used to a screen.
