So ehm, TL;DR?

And algo interviews are like the new SATs spawning a new "college prep" industry

Seriously though, what is the point of focusing on algorithms in interviews if it doesn't even pertain to the actual work in a job? Which stupid company made this shitty interview idea up?

@NonImportant- The government when they started the SATs.... How much does a University degree pertain to a job?

@dmonkey that's a friend I talk that works for a hedge fund because he passed a bunch of algo interviews.... But he doesn't use any of this stuff at work.... Like most devs....

So basically my conversation turned into a rant which ended up comparing tech interviews to the SATs
