Sounds nice and all but it’s wrong. I’ve had to walk someone through a page that had nothing but an input for email, an input for password, and a fucking button that says login.
What do I do?

Something requires instructions if a big part of the target group does have no clue what they should do. -
@M1sf3t most games don't give any instructions besides showing controls.
"Press W to walk forward" is similar to an label for an input field. There are no instructions on the user having to click the field and type it in. Just like there are no instructions that you should not walk into walls.
