If its a good tool for you and you can run it without issues... I don't get the problem..
-
0x0000002485y@linuxxx thing is, it can be a good tool without needing hundreds of megabytes of ram to run (idk how much ram this tool needs but you get what I'm trying to say)
-
@0x000000 But if you have the resources... I mean, most people use Chrome so you could place that in the heavy tools list as well
-
@linuxxx Yeah chrome is definetly in the top of heavy tools. I can understand a little bit why browsers are bloated. But terminal? No way.
Having more resources doesn't mean we have to spend it in un-necessary things. -
@linuxxx The thing is, for most resources the usage is additive. Visual Studio using a lot of ram is forgivable because you'll only ever have one instance running. But if 20 instances of a terminal lock up any system then it's simply a bad terminal.

What! Now we have a terminal made with electron! https://hyper.is/ electron? Seriously a tool which is supposed to be the fastest and lightest thing on your system built with the most bloated framework. Damn..
