i've been working in this company for a few months(this is my first job)
the only downside is sitting for long periods of time
it is so uncomfortable
i dont get time to walk
i dont have time/energy to execise or hit the gym
after the work
what should i do

    Ride a bike to/from work.

    Talk about the problem with your supervisor. A good supervisor will listen. If not... look for alternatives.

    @imaginarysudo im a computer science graduate and i got a backend developer role..i dont want want anyother job

    i've paid for 1 month gym membership and went for like 3-4 days(that too on sundays)
    its really really hard

    Decent walk during lunch?

    I sit on my ass all day, but I force myself to go for a walk during lunch - about 2-3KM, grab something you can walk and eat at the same time and it adds more time to your walk.

    Talk to your employer, explain that it is uncomfortable for you, incept the idea of a standing desk in them.

    @yojine I know mate. But I'm willing to bet that if you can only get yourself there, you have already won. Every person you've ever seen with a better than average physique has had many, many days where they didn't feel like going. The difference is that they went anyway. This will foster a mental fortitude in you that will help you far beyond the gym, its benefits will spread like rings in water.

    To minimize the risk of listening to the voice that says "I'll do it tomorrow" I always go directly to training after work. If I go home in between and relax the chances of me not training skyrockets. Know yourself and your tendencies for weakness, and shut it down before it can take root. That voice is your enemy. Hear what it says, what excuses it tries to spin but never listen to it. Hear its attempts to justify taking the easy route, then firmly give it a NO and get moving.

    Same happened to me, gained 22 pounds in 10 months (working 9 hours a day), because I stopped working out because "I was too tired after work", get your shit together before its too late and your health go to hell

    It's always hard when you just start exercising. It will get a lot easier in a few weeks. You can start with really really easy stuff. I always tried hard at the beginning, but quit because it was too hard. Once i started going easier, I could continue exercising regularly.

    Also, at my first job as a technical helpdesk guy (answering phones, major ISP), i often got up and walked a few steps while talking. You can probably do the same when you have to think a problem through. Sometimes just blindly typing and doing trial-and-error strategy of coding is bad, and replacing it with thinking time makes you solve things more easily (and you can walk during that).
