aseprite ALL THE WAY.
a lot of pros are using it.
the toolset is just amazing.
here's an ok thanos I indexed and redrew, and I suck balls.

@torbuntu I can't seem to find how the json files are encoded. Could you point me in the direction of that? Is there a standard that I can use to just plug right into my game, for example?

Microsoft paint. Nothing beats a pencil tool. Then Gimp to remove the background
