My old laptop's body is all broken but its work fine. Thinking of converting it to a portable desktop, any sujjestions are welcome.

You'll lose portability but you can do a lot of customisation too. Like adding custom cooling system etc., you can add an external gpu using a cheap power supply and chinese egpu mount which will use your wifi socket which will work even if you dont have thunderbolt 3 support!

I'd use that as desktop workspace after upgrading its parts.

I made a portable desktop out of a metal case when I was younger. Lots of fun building it and I actually used it as my main desktop for 2+ years.
