    i like java but i wished they would embrace xtend and groovy like features like properties and extension methods and better map and list syntax too.
    I hate the kotlin syntax btw its so ugly am abigous

    Kotlin has no virtual machine, and uses the JVM (or derivatives of it). Also uses java bytecode....

    So it only perpetuates Java, does not kill it.

    @HoloDreamer Java as language can stay no issues with that but the tools one has to use are insane and slow even in state of the art machines :)
