'Teaching them a lesson' would've been changing the MOTD or something similarly harmless.
What you did was illegally entering a system with destructive intent.
People like you is why we can't have nice things. -
You fucked yourself and everyone else. You could have reported it instead of messing it up.
-
@h4xx3r I don't know in what kind of shitty country you live but in European airports you will be thanked and receive a thank you gift.
-
@h4xx3r security should not even come to you then. I've worked for a few airports in Italy as well and know the guidelines for these things.
-
Ah come on everyone, To @FuckJava 's defense, That was not really a security violation, that was more like natural selection.
-
@NeatNerdPrime unlawful access is illegal no matter what. If you forget to lock your car door that does not mean I can go sleep in it right?
-
@NeatNerdPrime no. It's illegal and being a cunt. The fact people are defending this bush league shit is not ok
This is the reason why people lose their shit whenever they see terminals in public -
@SecFreak
I doubt I'd find an airline using an unprotected WiFi in a major American airport... -
Parzi88335ytechnically the act of getting into the router with the default password is illegal in itself in most countries, even if you don't *do* anything.
-
Quirinus7535ySo you delayed a buch of innocent passengers by a whole day. Some of them might have been in a hurry. Good job. /s

EVERYTHING FUCKING ASIDE!!!
I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY HAVE PUBLIC AND AIRPORT'S OFFICIAL FUCKING NETWORK AS THE SAME
I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE!!
I was at the airport, 2AM, waiting for the plane I was supposed to board to come from another airport... Got bored, scanned the WiFi networks, found an open network with the ID of the airline I had booked with, joined, and tried port 22 on the gateway... It was a Cisco router with the default password... Needless to say, I thought I needed to teach those guys a lesson... Messed the routing table, changed its IP, disabled DHCP, and restarted the router. Needless to say, we couldn't board because they couldn't check us in...
