    I have both of these things as well and I'm sure they have a secret agreement so they never leave me alone more than 5 minutes.

    I keep my laptop on a stand so that the screen level is correct and use a keyboard and mouse.
    My cat always comes and sits on the laptop's keyboard. This leads to frustrating and sometimes hilarious results.
    I just figured he is looking for my attention and put him on my lap so that I can continue with my work.
    Many times he's tried to grab my finger which contributed to variable names in code and deaths in games.
