@Asbetha lol no. Genetic algorithms are a powerful way to search for an optimal answer to something by randomly combining sets of current answer-candidates in ways sort of kinda analogous to how gene combination works inside a cell. You essentially "breed" answer-candidates together to generate better ones and repeat till your candidates actually work well.
Very cool technique, super useful (kinda overshadowed by deep learning these days but yeah). -

Update: got it to find a solution without flooding the search space. It also goes much quicker now.
