Most major consumer-oriented distros now don't create a partition for /boot unless the user manually does so. -
@bahua wat? how do you bootstrap the system without /boot on a full disk encryption (os side)???
regular "non-encrypted" install will not generate a /boot. but if you choose full encryption at install time, it will generate it. -
@magicMirror A minimal part of the bootloader with enough capabilities to decrypt /boot is placed at disk start.

OK so encrypted my system drive during install. So far so cool. It also prompts me to enter the password before loading the OS. However if I misstype it it kicks me in grub rescue mode instead of asking me to reenter it. Wtf D: Can I change this?
