Well they close to me.. But apparently they always add extra screws in the factory as every time I reassemble a laptop I have 2-5 extra screws left. Even when reassembling the same laptop... Idk why they do that

@netikras I have noticed the same. But think of it as an additional optimization from our side: reducing weight

Oh it's one of those where you gotta take the screen off too? I remember one I had to take apart to replace that damn cmos battery. It was around 70!! Screws to take out...

I was blown away the first time I've opened my Dell Latitude. Everything is thought-out and tidy, there are no latches that almost break each time you touch them, connectors even have extra grips to disconnect them without tools. Apparently when you pay premium for the business-grade laptop, they actually can design them neatly.
But for some weird reason that's not the case with Dell XPS - they are just as expensive and not designed so well. -
av-sharma215y@gronostaj but this one had too many latches around the screen that now the screen feels quite loose

When I opened my laptop, even if I did everything I could to be careful, I still fucked up the battery and now it no longer switches on unless plugged from the wall 😓
