@heyheni Shittttt I always needed a solution to keep my coffee warm. What if I just ran a bunch of processors together to generate even more heat?

How do you just find two processors in your house? Do you live in a mountain of old tech parts? Were they left there by a magical processor fairy? Was this actually someone else's house?
-
@platypus My dad's been building computers since around the 90s, so chances are they were just left over from those days, before he stopped. Although I do wish I had a processor fairy in my house.
@electrineer They are! The Athlon XPs and Pentium 3s are the last ones iirc. It feels weird having processors with exposed dies, makes me feel like they're naked -
Root825285y@infernalempress I was always terrified of cracking those when putting heatsinks on.
@platypus 😅 I was going to ask the same. But I also have bins of parts in my closet, including cpus. I also give them away randomly, because why not? Wait ... maybe I'm the magical processor fairy? 🤔🧚♀️ -
@Root @Nanos man I envy you guys
I've been wanting to put together a 386/486 based PC for ages but simply can't find the parts here. Time to look abroad I guess.

Last night I found two Athlon XP processors in my house. They're a 2400 and a 2700, but I don't know if they work because I don't have other parts to test them.
Nothing too interesting, I just thought it was kinda cool
