Here's how I imagine my bad start on a new job would be:

1. Being introverted
2. Being introverted
3. Being introverted

Yep, I'm awkward most of the times in most social interactions irl outside of my friend circle.

Well newsflash... You can fix it.

I used to never do anything that required me to talk a lot (like calling in an order at a restaurant, placing an order, asking for help in a store, etc) but then I grew tf up and fixed it.

Get out of your comfort zone and talk to people. If you go somewhere that nobody knows you and say something stupid, so what? Nobody will remember nor will they give a shit.

There's one person that can fix this and it's you. So do it.

But you will eventually make friends at least with the people on your team. At least if you and they are both not complete asses, in which case it's better that way.

You've got to tell yourself there's nothing wrong with being introverted. Quiet people actually garner more attention from better people. Just try not to turn down offers of socializing with your new co workers if they ask you out. Just stay for 15 mins and book, so at least they see your face. There's a difference between introverted and de-personalized.

Thanks for all the advice to those who commented. What I described was the worst case scenario. I won't be letting myself end up in a situation like that.
