Is circular button a good idea? (for desktop apps)

    Yes, if it suits the app?(I'm not fronted guy though xD)

    No. It's never a good idea to break UI standards and expectations for no reason than to look different.

    Hmmm
    I made a simple mock up (This is incomplete in so many ways but for now the button is my issue)

    @whocares it doesn't even look like a button. It looks like an indication.

    @whocares the button is good.
    but texts around need sone alignment

    @Fast-Nop if it's a desktop app, some shadow and cursor changes on top if the button will be fine

    @Fast-Nop That's probably because i gave it that color

    @whocares that really looks like an indicator in the wrong place of the screen.

    Form elements should be above any actions (buttons)

    Also stats should be below the form, or better yet, hidden from view prior to connecting.

    The button, could work as rounded, if the disconnect is the same button when toggled but made red (so using the button as an indicator - kind of thing

    @C0D4 I guess that would work. I had something similar in mind. I was inspired by this electron app.

    This is a UI I will never want to use. Rounded button, texts all over the place. Its even worse than material design

    @Codex404 You're right. I will redesign it 👌

    Would look great on a circular monitor. Why don't we have those yet?

    Would be really handy for designing circular buttons...

    Maybe giving background shadow would help
