Wa da fuck! Game saves are behind a paywall now?

What kind of fucked up world is this?

@C0D4 so it turns out this is a safety precaution since they had people abusing the cloud saves as an exploit to get and overwrite others' saves, so only if everyone on an Xbox is paying can it download saves too. A service rep manually allowed my Xbox to download saves.

    >"it should be lifted by the end of this month"

the fuck is going on over there

I can't wait until windows has a simple action like changing wallpapers behind a pay wall.

@NonImportant- Then maybe finally everyone will join the 🐧 side

@NonImportant- Windows 7 Starter. You had to upgrade to Home Basic at the very least to change wallpapers, have >2GB RAM, etc.

Doesn't surprise me at all. The entire xbox one is one giant shit show...

Get a new game? Wait an hour or two to be able to play....

Every game seems to take forever to actually load....

The interface itself is clunky and slow as fuck... just browsing the store is incredibly slow too...

I have personally taken taken to calling the Microsoft waitbox...

Oh the times when I wish I had actually stuck with the 360 instead...

Question: is the PlayStation any better with wait times and game installs?

@NonImportant- They actually have exactly that in a sense. If you don't activate Windows 10 then it locks the wallpaper menu in the settings(you can still change it with right click though, so it's kinda useless).

@ftyross not that I can tell... they have higher bandwidth for PSN on PSN's side so you're less likely to hit serverside download bottlenecks but tbi
  • 1
@dontbeevil mostly because people started using autokms and stuff like that.

@ftyross nope, the PlayStation is about the same. Still have to download everything and (at least the games I play) have 1-2 minute load screens every 15 or so minutes.
