There should be a developer licence so we could stop these stupid wannabes from getting into and ruining the industry with their shit work. We're so fed up maintaining these stupid codes the company previously outsourced somewhere on earth.

    You mean like a degree?

    If we refused to maintain these stinking piles of shite then maybe companies would eventually stop procuring them.

    We were once like that too. Sounds like that's how it's meant to be. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    We learn to code by messing up codes. 😁

    *uneducated dev walks into the room* so... this looks fun.

    Degrees don't fix "shit code" or even prevent it from happening, a degree only proves you can remember something.

    Discipline and the willing to learn and adapt to methodologies and standards fix shit code.

    Also, your company made the typical mistake of going cheap and quick to develop something, and are now paying to fix their fuckup.

    *mic drop*

    Bad developers have all levels of experience. What matters is the availability of review and willingness to listen.

    @rendezvous Fuck that.

    An arbitrary group of people should not be able to decide if someone else can hire me or not.

    What makes you think a licence will stop this?

    The problem is not bad code. It'bad management.

    Bad craft exists in every industry. If you buy shitty stuff, you get shitty quality.

    It's the role of the CTO and management to be aware of that and deal with it.

    It's delusional to think that bad devs and bad code can be erased.
