Sometimes you want to scream but you can't,
sometimes you want speak about how fucked up this society that we live in is... how the fundamental concepts of our lifes are wrong... How some things just don't work in the present... but there is no one who would listen to you... and even if they did, there is nothing they can do to change anything until the whole world listens.

Could you give anything specific? It's hard to read minds through the Internet.

    My problem is:
Men don't want to date older women but they want to date women the (+/- some)same age as them or younger.
Women don't want to date men their age or younger, only older. (honor to exceptions)

Now... the problem is, men usually don't want to date girls/women (I am working with my age, which is around 20 when rounded to the nearest 10 years) that are too younger than them but usually younger girls are already taken anyway... so men are left with nothing, girls same age won't date them because they are "too young".

Another thing that is a problem is that society expects men to pursue women... women don't have to deal with rejections, coming up with pick up lines, figuring out where to find girls that might be at least slightly interested in them and so much more...

Men get depression more often than women... hm... Go figure, I wonder why is that 🤔

All that I have left is hugging a pillow and telling myself that everything will be fine... nothing will ever be fine...

That's exactly how I feel about state of privacy on the internet.

ya I lucked out finding my gf. met at a bar, I had to hit on 16 girls with probably the worst pickup line ever before I found her lol. so maybe the best thing to do is not go on dating sites and instead schedule times weekly to go out to various places? idk

@bytecode So you're just sexually frustrated? And that's why you blame society? Do you think that society owes you a girlfriend?
  • 0
@Boogie not sexually but emotionally and no, I don't think that

@Boogie I don't think society owes me a girlfriend, I just want society to change so that both genders are on equal grounds. As it stands now, it is harder for a man to get a gril than it is for a girl to get a man. (I am not suggesting there are only two genders, etc. I am bisexual but that is not the point of this argument so please refrain from rude comments addressed to me or anyone else, thank you)

@bytecode I think that your view on the case is too shallow. You only focus on getting a bf/gf, but you don't seem to be thinking how the relationship works later after this point. I also think your intentions are not as pure as you want us to believe.

@Boogie 1. yes, in this case I am only focusing on the "getting" a bf/gf part. I think other parts of a relationship between any people are pretty equal.
    2. Ok, that's your opinion but you do not know me... when I get depressed I always text my friend, I love her, but not because she is pretty and cute, but because she supported me countless times, I would never stare at her butt, boobs or think of her in a sexual way even though I love her for what she had done for me and for her character. (we actually got to know each other at an online forum and we've been best friends since - and yes, I tried dating her in the beginning, never thinking about her sexually but as a person that is just awesome... she said she never dated anyone and does not feel like dating anyone either //which is true, I have known her for quite some time and all this time she has not dated anyone // but I stayed friends with her - would I do that if I thought of her in a sexual way? I don't think so... You just don't make a best friend out of someone you had a crush on sexually)

Edit: we only met on the forum, since then we have been chatting on messenger and meeting every few months (yes, months, our time schedules never line-up)
