I feel ya. I had a hardware tech / help desk type gig when I was 15-16, so I know some stuff, even to this day I remember the basics. When I tell people that know I used to do that, exactly what it is that I do for a living NOW, they still say "oh, so that's why you know" anyway. Like I didn't just tell them the opposite.
