Some people are a little too sensitive about harmless practical jokes. 😒

Know your room, not everyone is like you.

Going to need a full story.

Why, did you throw in an office grenade?

@Konsole We have a long standing tradition in our office, if you leave your computer unlocked your computer might get messed with (ie crazy wallpapers, larger text). Its a friendly reminder to practice good security.

Right now we have a newer guy getting his feeling hurt over it 🙄 One of the managers sent out an email talking about "professionalism in the workplace".

Just hate things getting a little too formal. Being professional all the time is boring....

Just say what you did lmao. Saying things you might have done makes it sound like you did something really dickish that justifies why they're annoyed with you

    > Just hate things getting a little too formal. Being professional all the time is boring

Then do that with the people you know. Grow a pair and say "sorry m8, won't do [whatever I did] again."

@-Minty- To clarify it's nothing specific I did. Just lemmenting a change in workplace environment. Used to be chill and now just getting.... different.

Not trying to be a jerk, it's just a rant.

Practical jokes. They're all fun and games until someone loses an eye.

Shouldn't professionalism in the workplace be locking your workstation when leaving your desk?

@Robinha Still have two for now 😶

First thing I was warned about in a new office was this. That someone might use my email to promise to bring donuts. Etc.

We have like 2 people who do that and they and I usually aren't in the office in the same day, but it was a great reminder about security.

Happens here also, except Ctrl+Alt+down has been known to mess with people.

Or a fun Nicolas Cage app so he shows up randomly, because who doesn't love Nicolas Cage when they return to their desk?

@W77ng If wallpapers are an option, I have always been more of a fan of David Hasselhoff puppy calendar shots. I have gotten some great reactions with those in the past. 🤣

@bhouston at one of my previous jobs, "Hasselhoffing" was the default punishment for leaving your device unlocked. Your wallpaper, profile picture, etc. would all be changed when you got back.
