It's a server, right? Although 60GB is an uncommon amount for RAM. I was thinking of putting 64GB in my gaming machine, but that's really overkill and more than half of it would probably be wasted unless I created a large RAM-disk.

@justasithlord I think 1.2gb for 6 open layout designers + all the kotlin features and gradle isn't bad at all. IIRC eclipse used more, provided less and their designer was a lagging piece of shit. Also - who cares about a gig or two anymore. 8gb should be that bare minimum and 16gb generally used for developer machines nowadays. People want more and more and more from their IDEs and then continue to cry when there's a 60% for ram in the taskmanager instead of 40.
No one stops you from doing everything in fucking vim and building from cli 🤷🏻‍♀️
