What kind of automation scripts? That could be anything from "tell the coffee machine to make me a cup of coffee and then a robot to bring it to me" to "I take a crap at precisely 14:05 every day, turn the bathroom light on then so I don't have to."

Xoka12806y@AlmondSauce any kind. Just want to see what other people are making to take some inspiration.

bahua129056yI automate tedious processes for a living. For example, we manage a storage infrastructure of about 250k disks on about 6500 appliances across about thirty sites in North America. Even though it is very healthy, that volume still works out to about 500-700 failed disks per month. Before I joined this group, one guy was managing the RMAs. I automated the identification of bad disks, the troubleshooting and triage, the handling for internal and vendor ticketing systems, reporting, tracking and more. As it's a detailed process, there is always something else in it to automate. That's a fun one. 100% perl.

@hack ahk is amazing. The fact that I can make scripts so quickly is mindblowing.
Batch is also surprisingly useful on windows

I want to be the laziest person in the world. So, I'm always creating automation scripts to make my work easier. But after 2+ years of doing automation, they seem mediocre. Anyone here can make ADVANCED automation scripts? (Using python or any other language)
