@tnuhb nah, my wife is not a fan of basil... most of the times we like our sauce without herbs, it's just how the fam does it...
i do include salt+pepper, ofc, sometimes some sugar if the tomato mix is too acidic, this one didn't need tho -
@tnuhb i mean i do use herbs in other stuff, like the thyme and lemon chicken combo

Also paprika (the good kind*) when appropriate
*ie: paprika imported from Hungary or neighbouring countries. Dunno why, but the paprika I find at my local supermarkets is fucking tasteless :/
Also Hungary is the land of paprika, so it tastes so much better than any other kind
