I used blue switch’s for the last 15 years, I have used bought 3 different keyboards in the that time, all use the mxBlues used blackwidows now using Logitech 54g or whatever it is...

I see these people using membrane or basic bitch keyboards. And I don’t understand how they do it.. I use the clickyness as a feedback for me. I don’t care how loud it is... nobody has complained but I also don’t care lol.

I’ve tried using other keyboards but I can’t type on a non mechanical clicky key.

I want to get one of those IMB retro keyboards, but I want to try one out before I spend the money.

I used a membrane keyboard for all of about 3 days last summer.

My wrists were consistently hurting and I ended up getting a mechanical keyboard (blue equivalent because I'm broke lol) and they rarely hurt now that I use it.

I use reds for gaming but I hate typing on them. I actually prefer either scissor switches or membrane keyboards for typing. I've tried blues but couldn't get used to them.

I got to use one once when I was a kid and it was cool asf.

@RantSomeWhere I probably annoy my neighbors more with constant "fuck" while playing video games or while watching sports.

But I'll look into it eventually. Got some other things that are taking financial priority at the moment, but it will hopefully be in my future soon.

I own a high-quality mechanical and a high-quality non-mechanical keyboard, so I can compare.
On my non-mechanical keyboard, I press the keys all the way. Where the mechanical one provides the "click" as feedback, the non-mechanical one provides the key's stop as feedback. That's all there is to it.

You don't press keys all the way on mechanical keyboards, because that's what makes them so loud. Rubber rings can help with that. The clicks' loudness depend on the switches, but is generally bearable.

Owning both types of keyboards, I find mechanical ones overrated tbh. I don't care about the sound. The clicky feel is just different... but not more comfortable, or faster, or better in any other way. If anything, I find stopping my fingers (before the keys are pressed all the way) to be *more* strenuous. And I would say an ergonomic shape is much more of an improvement.
