BadFox23406yDepends which ones you pull out really. I assume you have a 4 disk array. You must have pulled the disks out of only 1 half of the striped RAID 1 array.

@BadFox Yes a 4 disk array. And it should have worked in one of the combinations, but it didn't. I pulled disks 1 and four out; it didn't work; I replaced disk 4 and pulled disk 3 out; still didn't work!

BadFox23406y@FuckJava are you sure that all your disks are actually working then? Either way, it's rather odd.

@Nanos It's the fucking QNAP thing. I never had these issues with good old Intel and AOC RAID controllers.

I ended up ROBOCOPYing everything off the array, and then pulling the 2nd disk out

Pulled two hard disks out of a QNAP NAS, and the whole RAID10 died on my. Put one back, and the array came back to life. Pulled another one out, and the array died again. WTF is wrong with you QNAP?
