natinaum277y@rutee07 Okay, I just pronounced it always like i would if it would be a singel word. Without the context of the word charakter.
But with the the context of your mother tongue given, it's understandable. -
Char like Charmander.
But mostly just because pronouncing it like a shortened “character” sounds like “care”. -
It's a /kʰ/ sound because it stands for "character". Just like GIF is pronounced with a hard 'g' because it stands for _Graphics_ Interchange Format.
