@theKarlisK which is usually the answer lol. Imagining a genuine stack overflow forum:
"How do i do this?!"
"docs"
"What about that?!"
"docs"
"where can i--"
"docs" -
@praytay see this is the problem: you haven't even read what I said on the forum and you've already decided it isn't an answer which is exactly how idiots on SO do things and that makes no sense. Let me reiterate:
Question: Why doesn't this work?
Me: Because python doesn't allow this.
Pray tell what this answer doesn't provide? Note that the guy didn't want a workaround, he wanted to know what was happening under the hood to throw an error when he ran code a certain way and why. -
Also, I'm clearly short handing the q and a - I explained why python disallows the code in question and he had a more detailed question. But seriously, this jump to "that's not even an answer bruh" is so fucking absurd it drives me nuts.

q: "why doesn't python do this like i want:
me: "Here's an answer that quotes an article and links out explaining with Python 3.6.x doesn't allow that."
every fucker: "downvote, doesn't answer why it isn't allowed"
FUCK YOU, PROVIDE AN ANSWER THAT DOESN'T SAY WHAT I SAID
