y'know it's nice to know that no matter what happens, some things in life never change. even if you want them to.

like no matter who you are, or what you're doing, SELinux will always be there to ruin your life....

    @metamourge yknow everyone hates on systemd, but I actually really like it. init scripts were a nightmare to deal with.

    yea it violates KISS, but it also keeps everything in one place, and there's a niceness to that.

    any particular reason you don't like it? and what would you prefer? sysV? upstart? (both pretty painful to use imo)

    Because its so much faster than systemd.
    With runit, the start time of my system is less than half of the one with systemd.

    (honestly even if it is nicer and faster, ultimately I'll probably go back to systemd. its everywhere, so I have to know it anyway. just easier to conform sometimes)
