A year ago I and my friend started a startup with equal share but in a year I have invested a lot more time for business than him and also posses far better skill than him, so asked if we should reconsider our share. He has declined to reconsider our share but willing to increase my salary which I am not comfortable. I am in great dilemma what should I do next. Should I leave the company before it's too late?

You said about your higher investment time and skill. So what does he bring to the table?

If he is investing more money, that's still fine. If he is bringing clients, still fine.

Personally, I would suggest you to look at the end result or the outcomes rather than investment and own skill.

Someone can still bring good result by investing wisely of their time and effort if they are smart enough.

That being said, if your partner is just not that good at the result department, review how much increase in the salary. If salary is like 2 times of what he is getting, still not a bad deal. So worst case if business gone bad, you still earned your salary.
