    "Why should I upgrade? XP works great!"

    Because he works to the US government and his office still requires all websites it manages to be IE 5.5 compatible.

    Slap him with recent statement by Microsoft security advisor advising to stop using IE.

    Welcome to Korea. Backwards compatibility to IE 7 is not required, but mandatory according to social beliefs. (lol, i wonder i got the word right)

    @CozyPlanes In other words, it's never written in the requirements document, but if anyone ever finds out it isn't then you're going to be labeled "not a team player", eh?

    Why even use IE at all, even microsoft has accepted that it doesn't qualify as a browser.

    IE 10 is still officially supported until 2020 and IE 9 was supported until January.
  • 2
    @Kaji Yeah, users will complain. I still see a lot of XP running in the wild here.

    @sbiewald And? XP support is already dropped but people still install XP and uses it. Not to mention - IE that comes with it...

    End of support - means nothing to people that are used to the thing... At all...
  • 2
    Because IE11 is still installed by default on Win10.

    Until it’s not, support the damn thing.

    @C0D4 OP isn’t complaining about IE 11, he’s complaining about having to support versions before 11

    @Kaji missed the < 💩
    Then, charge double.
