Hi everybody,

what is your Personality Type?

We are currently taking the test at https://www.16personalities.com/ company wide.

My result is “THE LOGICIAN” (INTP-A) ( https://16personalities.com/intp-pe... )

--------
The Logician personality type is fairly rare, making up only three percent of the population, which is definitely a good thing for them, as there’s nothing they’d be more unhappy about than being “common”. Logicians pride themselves on their inventiveness and creativity, their unique perspective and vigorous intellect. Usually known as the philosopher, the architect, or the dreamy professor, Logicians have been responsible for many scientific discoveries throughout history.
--------

As everything I read in the description and explanations of my personality type fits astounding well, I asked myself, what kinds of personality types are prominent on devrant?

So, if you take/took the test, I'd like to read about your results. ☺

    VIRTUOSO

This is actually the second time I took this test. But I forgot the result from first time 😁

Usually highly motivated - hm, not even enough to finish the test. :-)

@Alice so what did you get
  • 5
    INTP-A as well
Interestingly though, I am becoming more and more extroverted over time and it shows up in the score.
    Hmm

@Alice awww now I can't get to know you better 🥺

Damn, I feel like a filthy peasant with my 13% Logistican.

Anyway, those "personalities" can imply something that you aren't, 16 is not enough.
  • 2
@Alice yes and no. If you try to outsmart the test, it won't work. The reason is simple, the test does not evaluate the answers exactly like you do.
You have to be honest, or the result will be wrong.

INTP-A/-T 🤔 I've taken it before and I believed I was then INTJ. Don't know what those extra letters mean either, or why I have two of them. Oddly I feel like it doesn't fit me that well, but I felt all the questions were easy to answer and I knew how I felt about them. Maybe I don't know myself? 😂

    MEDIATOR (INFP-A)

I dont feel that is correct though.

Edit: I meant: sure its correct somehow, but thats not the main personality I have.

    Architect (INTJ-A)

    LOGICIAN - (INTP-T)
  • 3
    Advocate (INFJ-A)

    DEBATER PERSONALITY (ENTP, -A/-T)

The Debater personality type is the ultimate devil’s advocate, thriving on the process of shredding arguments and beliefs and letting the ribbons drift in the wind for all to see. Debaters don’t do this because they are trying to achieve some deeper purpose or strategic goal, but for the simple reason that it’s fun. No one loves the process of mental sparring more than Debaters, as it gives them a chance to exercise their effortlessly quick wit, broad accumulated knowledge base, and capacity for connecting disparate ideas to prove their points.

    @frickerg I didn't know that I was a Ben Shapiro

    @neo-73 woah! That's rare, dude! 👍

Meyers-Briggs tests are unreliable and unscientific. The currently accepted personality test is the "Big Five" test
  • 2
    INTJ.

On the extreme of all four metrics

I like how my type weakness is "Dislike Dealing With Data" even thought that's basically what I as a programmer do on daily basis and enjoy it.

Well, so much about those tests, kinda reminds me on horoscope and Nostradamus' prophecies..
  • 2
@Orni thanks for killing the fun! 👍

@myss well, not every single aspect has to be 100% accurate. That's one miss against how many hits? And what if it is true and you really dislike dealing with data? 😉 (I mean the text, not the headline.)

But as FunKiller above already wrote, those tests are considered to be unscientific. 😊

    INTP-A

    I got MEDIATOR
    (INFP-A)
  • 2
    Commander ENTJ-A

Now they managed to pet my ego, and that's why I usually doubt a little bit this types of tests. It seems that it's made just to inflate our ego a little bit and give us a little dose of satisfaction or pleasure.

Well... This personality is compared w/ Frank Underwood. When I saw that, my ego momentarily skyrocketed.

(sorry for the extensive amount of the word "ego")

    Virtuoso (ISTP, -A/-T)
  • 3
Ah! And a thing that I'm aways suspicious of: it could be using a sort of general language that fits to everyone, like fortune teller does.

As I'm reading the full text, it contains some useful advices 👍

@dnaka91 hey we got same result

    Another INTP here
  • 1
@walid somehow I had a feeling INTP might be *slightly* above 3% here... 🤔
    😁
  • 1
@Yamakuzure lol now we still need to figure out how much that "slightly" is... 😂
But i guess it's only logical that most of us here are INTP, i mean that personality describes very well the lifestyle of a CS/IT/Developer
