    As a father of two, I might ask a similar question. Where do you get the time to program?

    As someone with 25+ years in the field, if you can't find time for anything else than coding, you will burn out. You have to set boudaries and enforce them, otherwise your will get frustrated and eventually give up.

    As a father, there’s no side projects involved anymore, well except the odd one when you’re home alone, but that rarely happens.

    @irene indeed, just kill anyone thats family, parents, sisters, brothers, wifes, husbands, children.

    Don't plan to work overtime or on weekends. I for myself don't work on weekends anymore and my family and I are much more happier that way.

    Simple. Don't believe the "rockstar developer" bullshit and don't overwork yourself. Your life shouldn't just be coding non-stop, otherwise you'd burn out (I'm speaking from experience).

    Have side projects on occasion if you'd like (not all the time), try not to work overtime, and spend as much time AFK as you can.

    Try family.GetTime()

    @iAmNaN @rantalicious I've been in the field for 1, 5 years now and already agree on this 😅
