I still have a hard time defining 'life'.
Death, for me, is just like any other process though. But I've also had to endure and come to terms with it very early in life.
I think we all have fears somewhere. Death is a quite common one as far as I know. I think the trick is to sleep instead (joke). Oh well, I know you're not the only one. My thing is not knowing what actually causes consciousness, if life's a thing or if everything is just happening and us humans are just another thing like stars and poop - life being an inevitable feature of advanced processes happening over eons -
stop68676ythe most are afraid of the unknown. they dont know how they die, if it hurts and/or what comes after it.
I fear it too, but i decided for me to not to worry about things that i cant change and to accept things as they come. -
skepdimi1316yI struggled with existentialism and a fear of death since I was very young, around 10-11. It's quite scary to realize that death is very real in moments of high consciousness. Learning to simply accept the fact of death and the relatively short amount of time you have on the earth quickly and making the most out of that time is what I found helped me.
@RustyCookie I've been dealing with something similar over the last few months as well. I feel like I'm quite achieved at the current state of my life, but have lost the motivation I once had and instead worry about the future since I don't have a clear idea of what I want to do with my life. I usually just accept that I'm headed in the general direction and that I'll figure it out as I go. -
pete4563196yDon't be scared of death, shit gonna happen at some point. Just make sure u leave a great legacy

Elyz78096yWe all gotta die someday. Why run in terror from the inevitable? The way I see it, it's better to just live while you're here and worry about death when it's catching up to you.

1: Death is easy. It's a fucking on/off switch. Surviving and living is much harder.
2: See it as the final big adventure. If everything ends when you die, you won't notice that anyway, because you are gone. If there is an afterlife, you'll see.
3: Don't ponder what happens when you are gone. It wont be your problem anymore anyway. (That doesn't mean you shouldn't have taken precautions, of course...) -
colaguy5496yAppreciate the feedback, it really helps.
Here are few things that help me to overcome it.
I heard once someone said, why do people celebrate birth with laughter and enjoyment, while death is celebrated with crying and sad emotions?
Why not celebrate it too, both are amazing parts of being human.
I know it sounds crazy, and to some extent not possible because loosing someone is hard. But if we find a way to look at it in a positive way, we may make death a bit easier.
Remember, we all did not exist (before birth), and that I guess is the same void we get when we are dead.

I do enjoy code, life, Netflix series, and everything the world has to offer.
But there is something that creeps into my mind during the night, something that grounds me (also awakens me), something that feels unrealistic and at the same time hopeless.
That something is death.
I'm afraid of dying, afraid of not existing anymore, the void, the nothing.
I know, it may be overwhelming and depressing, but this is the core to who we are, and hiding it does not prevent it.
Do I believe in God, I want too, it makes me feel comfortable, but do I truly believe in God, no.
Anyone who thinks of death/life and get scared of it, or am I the only one?
