Ah, the good old "Any kind of tech problem is your and your dark command line magics fault" mindset of parents. I still remember the futile attempts to explain my mother thst the fact that the PC was getting slow was due to the fact that she accidentally installed so much malware that the toolbars got toolbars only to get the answer that it was my fault for writing a batch script that displayed colorful flickering text...
