Pretty much normal clear tempered glass, unlaminated, single pane. Usually 10 or 12mm thick, especially if it's a large model. A small scanner might use 6mm thickness.

@GyroGearloose Good enough against some pressure, not good against impact from sharp hard objects. For a CNC you might want to just get some thick clear acrylic at a hardware store.
