Joke's on them if using a virtual card that's zeroed when not used.

This is to prevent users from using multiple free trials.
Also, why should I give free trials to users that I haven't verified that they actually are able to pay?

@alexThunder I respect your business model of your own app. but for mine, I don't implement my own payment service. I use Stripe. They have subscription models where you sign up users by credit card and set them to free trials. Its a convenient way for me to
    - give free trials
    - verify free trials aren't used multiple times
    - handle payments
    - get serious users

@cephei I really think that is true, so much so that two accounts cannot use the same credit card information for most of my applications because it hurts my bottom line. (BUT...) just use an empty visa gift credit card that is empty... and do that for years... There is always different ways around security/cheating/payment systems if you really try.

Free and not free at the same time

@ryangurn agree. Its hard to filter out all users that run on all-time-free-trial. Though, I like to think that it prevents a good amount of them doing so.

@cephei yea cyber security makes it difficult bc you are never supposed to store static credit card numbers... ever. So as you can imagine its difficult to ensure that they are unique to the account although there are some tactics.
