@bloodhound what you have made is literally AI slop in many ways. I can even imagine the prompt and there is nothing anonymous about it, to resolve some users country, it even needs one of the TWO databases containg the IP data. These databases are given for free but not without consent actually meaning that you have put effort into it. That is the red flags of red flags.

Also, if there is a devRant chat, it would be Snek, a reliable service that was never more than 15 minutes offline (in exception of the two week confescation by the provider for reasons :P) and that service will be online always. Yours will disappear in a month, be real, that's whats gonna happen.

I would love an alternative for devRant since the original owner does neglect the community which is a fact. @retoor I'm just an another dev, but I have already signed my resignation and have to look for another job soon. So in the meantime, I'm just coping with side projects. I'm not a good dev, never was good in school either.

I came here to vent and be part of a community. But I've heard it's already dead? or dying? that's really sad to be honest.

@bloodhound It's really sad indeed because there i no comminity like this one. It deserves maintenanc. According to me it's not dead.

But when it comes to building a portfolio, please check mine at https://molodet.nl but also https://retoor.molodetz.nl -> the latter one is a gitea instance very modified. It's very easy to do. If you are a true dev that wans to prove him/herself i will do whatever you need to make that happen. I personally don't work anymore and won't for the next five years. But one day i will have again when i run out of money, so.. Portfolio We can bundle powers if you want, because i'm sure you have much to teach me as well. It's not going well in the development world relatively lately. We should join forces to survive. I personally hope we end all the fakers, but i have seen good devs loosing their jobs even on this platform. Let's fight together.

@bloodhound the people went to reddit and stuff. But reddit is a huge downgrade. People will realize that some day and will come back to dedicated paltforms like this or my.devlace.net . We're done with the moderating. This platform having no moderation is doing extremely well without it. I really do expect that this platform will raise again.
