    anyone have success using Arch ARM on an rpi? it looks interesting, and im not confident enough in my understanding of compilation to go gentoo :0

    I tried arch on rpi pretty much as soon as it came out and it was a pretty subpar experience. Raspbian is built for the device, it runs the best imo.

    You are better of going for Raspbian Lite and installing the desktop environment later on. You can start it with startx when you need it, which saves a ton of RAM.

    I designed a barcode scanner hat for the RPI. Components have arrived, waiting for the PCBs from JLCPCB.

    Fun fact: The Raspberry Pi is the best selling PC of all time :)

    @zankar it may be using stretch instead of cover but yeah I am too lazy to lookup but never to code.
