I‘m thinking about running my own spam downvoting bots based on the so far very successful spam detection in JoyRant.

@retoor how frequently do you need to create new bots?
How quicky do they lose downvote privileges?
Other useful things to know?

@tamagotchi that sounds very impressive. Especially the part about automating the creation of new bots. I don’t have that.

I also have a scout bot (picked at random) and multiple downvoting bots.

The scout bot operates at a 10 second frequency and triggers the downvoting bots if it finds spam.

The downvoting bots only downvote until -2 (which is afaik the number when rants disappear from the feed for everyone) and also post the comment about false positives.
Then all of the bots upvote those who downvoted.

Hopefully this limit of -2 will keep them from losing downvote privileges.
