    I'll assume you want to host a TOR hidden service. I'll also assume that, in the event that you're not motivated by sheer curiosity, you'll do this for freedom of speech reasons. So, with the moral bullcrap out of the way:

    For hosting a hidden service, there is a comprehensive guide at torproject.org

    As for getting listed: there are directory services on the darknet that allow anyone to list their site. A quick ddg search will reveal a multitude of them.

    Be aware, these directories contain things that may upset people with a moral compass that's aligned with society's standards. Visiting them may constitute a legal offense depending on your jurisdiction. If it does, then you are the only person responsible.

    Have fun, be curious and bold.

    @JohnDoesNot no. It is freedom fighters. Long live the rebellion.

    @JohnDoesNot also, let's not forget that not everyone enjoys as many liberties as us westerners. In some countries, you can go to jail (or worse) for criticizing the government, calling people to demonstrate or publishing conspiracy theories.
    The deep web gives the people in these countries a way to enforce their human right to free speech.
    It also allows whistle blowers and activists to do their thing without having to fear for their lives.
    So be careful believing everything you hear on the corporate media... Their journalists have little IT knowledge at best, and they all have their own agenda.

    @ilPinguino i’m aware of that. But too many people act like the dark web is an awesome thing, and forget the terrible dark side.
  • 2
    @johndoesnot what terrible stuff are u talking about
  • 2
    @JohnDoesNot Of course!

    And let's also not forget about the people who use this every day in order not to get killed or imprisoned or who don't want to be tracked full-time or who rather don't get caught up in mass surveillance networks too much :)

    @JohnDoesNot Awesome things can have a terrible side by the way.

    @JohnDoesNot And you forget that that dark side is present in real life, even when we don't see it most of the time.
