PM: No, the daily stand-up meeting is more important than this urgent issue being solved

I would argue that as PM it's his job to decide what is more important, and the consequences are his responsibility. Team meetings are always important though, if for no other reason than to have everyone together for 10 minutes a day

@milkybarkid always important, yes, but rarely urgent -- he wouldn't postpone it 10 minutes so we could solve and urgent and important problem

It's really annoying to let others wait extra 10 minutes. I really hate it when meetings don't start on time.

@Cheeseypi Again that's their decision and responsibility as PM, and after having presented arguments with your point of view, it is your responsibility to respect that decision.

@milkybarkid respect is earned. He made a bad call. I wanted to complain about it.

I'd have to side with the PM (which feels weird), having not had a stand up for months I think they're essential for knowing where everyone is at, what the blockers are and if anyone can assist. That urgent issue you have might get solved by merely mentioning it at stand up.

@Zhorian it was a client issue that waited an extra 30 minutes because our team can't get through their stand-ups quickly

@Cheeseypi that's another major issue. Please lead the meeting and end it in time. We all have important stuff to do, like fixing issues :)
