Not everyone can think and analyze like a programmer. Some things can't be taught
-
debug2478yA programmer not only poses the ability to reason and write proper code but also dedication and keen interest in programming. If people are not interested then it's effort wasted. Not everyone will enjoy programming therefore not everyone should.

fonfi8238y@h3ll @champion01 and some things (activities) just don't need to be analyzed this (programmers) way.

veshsare3128yFor who doesn't know, I am talking about this: https://youtu.be/cJAGqDYmW1o
I'm not surely agreeing with all in this video, but back in my days not everyone had access to pc or internet or even programming books.
Of course not everybody can be a programmare, according to what @h3ll says.. hell no. I don't want a doctor finding things on Twitter, but I NEED a doctor who can deal with some specific technology (ie nanotech). -
veshsare3128y@fonfi I don't know either how technically my screen works or my keyboard.
To be clear, I am not an Apple fanboy or what, I just want to know what a bunch dev fellas think. -
veshsare3128y@fonfi yep, no one said everyone should be a DEVELOPER. Just knowing how to program something.. like a to do list. 😄

xroad23808yYou guys are missing the point. What they're trying to do is introduce people to the idea of programming, especially kids. It's not a boot camp to get people placements.
It's no wonder we end up having PMs that don't know shit about code, how can they when us devs are so hostile at the thought of someone even trying it? -
veshsare3128y@kalpitjain yes, but also how a cell is made is not that easy. anyway they teach that in school when you're 8 years old. I think @xroad hit the point: is giving an opportunity to whom didn't had a chance to know/learn HOW a program works.

Maybe Apple and I just know very different people 😀 sure everyone will do Hello World and then what? I have to disagree with them on this one. I can send them some folks and they might retract that idea.

Not a rant actually, but what does this community think about Apple's "programming is easy, programming is for everyone, everyone should program"?
